Description:
As a Commercial Consultant l , you will lead an enterprise effort to determine the direction and magnitude of change to future machine
pricing. This includes leading a large team of leaders and analysts throughout weekly updates on progress, creating
presentations, and providing analysis and input to executive level management. Additionally, this role will have opportunity to lead projects to improve critical business processes that drive financial results. You will serve as the product owner for the machine price plan system enhancements, including development of project plans, training on price plan tools, and coordination of improvement project teams.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include but are not limited to :
Lead price plan project team in development of a strategic plan for machine pricing
Develop presentation material for management discussions
Conduct regular analysis of significant financial data for review
Identify integration issues with other machine pricing projects/processes and coordinate the improvements with the appropriate project / process owners to accomplish price plan project goals
Ensure multi-channel communication throughout the enterprise
Conduct post-mortem review of price plan process to gather improvement suggestions
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent concentrated in business administration, finance, economics, statistics, accounting, information technology, business computer systems, analytics, or related fields
7 or more years of professional level experience in pricing, accounting, finance/treasury, or marketing role (or related field)
Top Candidates Will Also Have :
Prior pricing and / or sales variance experience
Proven strong sense of urgency to complete tasks on time to meet goals or deadlines
Ability to effectively handle multiple parallel projects
Highly skilled in effective messaging of complex financial topics
Displays level of comfort reporting to senior and executive management
Demonstrated focus on quality and customer needs
Good office desktop applications knowledge, including prior experience with Power BI
Ability to learn and conduct statistical analysis
Ability to portray strong written and verbal communication skills
Prior experience exhibiting project management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify solutions
Additional Details:
Location: Peoria, IL
Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify
This position would ideally be in Peoria, IL ; however open to considering other Caterpillar facilities (Nashville, TN and Irving, TX candidates permanent address must be within 50-mile driving distance to a Caterpillar facility)
25% travel is expected
