Summary:

• Supports the Global and Regional Commodity Teams and Regional Plant Operations
• Responsible to develop Commodity Strategies that support overall business objectives and drives value and cost savings.
• Utilize sound negotiation and value analysis skills to reduce overall costs and meet or exceed annual cost objectives as set forth by the business leaders.
• Final negotiation and approval for all sourcing in region and present to Regional/Global Sourcing Committee.
• Source in accordance with company and corporate policies and procedures.
• Maintain and promote sound relationships with suppliers and the business community through strict adherence with the principles found in the Global Code of Conduct.
• Continually keeps abreast of regulations, laws, and market conditions that might impact product availability, strategy, and pricing.
• Participate in special analysis and projects, as required.
• Assist in resolving Accounts Payable pricing issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering.
• 3+ years automotive business experience preferred (including Indirect Materials and Services).
• Good knowledge of Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, etc.
• Proven experience in supplier negotiations, comprehensive understanding of commercial terms and conditions related to procurement of goods and services, and supply contracts.
• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and JSS suppliers.
• Able to perform role with minimal supervision, taking ownership and demonstrate sense of urgency.
• SAP and QAD experience a plus.
