Job Title: Communications Network Specialist - Fort Gordon

Job Description:

The Communications Network Manager is responsible for managing the communication hardware and software of the organization, including LAN/MAN/WAN networks. The job description includes the following responsibilities:

- Evaluate communication hardware and software to ensure they meet the needs of the organization

- Troubleshoot LAN/MAN/WAN and other network related problems

- Provide technical expertise for performance and configuration of networks

- Perform general LAN/MAN/WAN administration

- Provide technical leadership in the integration and test of complex large-scale computer integrated networks

- Schedule conversions and cutovers

- Oversee the network control center to ensure smooth operations

- Supervise the maintenance of systems to ensure they are up-to-date and functioning properly

- Coordinate with all responsible users and sites to ensure that the network meets their needs

- Supervise staff to ensure they are meeting their responsibilities and goals

Education/Experience Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a technical discipline (e.g. Information Technology, Science, Engineering)

- At least 5 years of relevant experience in managing communication hardware and software, troubleshooting LAN/MAN/WAN networks, and providing technical expertise for network performance and configuration. A combination of education and experience can be used.

- Department of Defense (DoD) Active Secret clearance required

- DoD 8570 certification (CompTIA Security + or equivalent) required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $58,597.81 - $67,526.40 per year
