Job Description

Ashton’s Construction Division was founded 10 years ago as a structural and civil concrete provider. The Construction Division is experienced in multi-phase, multi-million-dollar, long-term projects and is backed by the Sawing and Drilling Division, a concrete services leader for 20 years. The ideal candidate for this position is someone with 2 years of commercial construction estimating experience that is looking for their next challenge. This opportunity also has a unlimited commission structure and the ability to really grow within the organization. The ideal candidate would be someone who has 2+ years of Estimating/Project Management and able to work in a high volume, fast paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

In office:

Successfully manage projects of various sizes ranging from $30,000-5 Million

Execute a successful hand-off of duties between estimation and your role, your role and Superintendent. For example, understand plans, timelines, and budgets by asking the right questions

Understand project contracts inside and out and be experienced in negotiating contractual agreements in the event a problem arises

Maintain project margin by tracking project budgets, expenditures, and POs.

Maintain timely and accurate billing

Adjust timelines and budgets (change orders) as needed based on weather events, scope changes, other delays and communicate those changes to team and clients

Build and manage client relationships, including leading regular progress meetings

On site:

Perform job site walkthroughs

Perform pre-job planning and scheduling

Plan pre-project meetings with the Superintendent and other entities as required

Ensure the work performed is on track, on budget and meets the specified requirements

Identify and address challenges and opportunities to maximize profitability

Be knowledgeable and well-versed in project scope and seen as the concrete expert on-site

Skills and Qualifications

Requirements

5 Years Construction Estimating experience

Experience in the commercial construction industry

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
