VSS International, Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Accountant to join our dynamic and growing team. As a Construction Accountant, you will play a vital role in managing financial aspects of our construction projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Uploads and maintains project budgets in ERP system.
  • Setup subcontracts and change orders.
  • Reviews and codes invoices to ensure correct project allocations.
  • Makes monthly equipment entries.
  • Prepares G/L and Job Cost journal entries.
  • Prepares and maintains the monthly Job Status Report.
  • Periodically reviews purchase order setup and entries for accuracy.
  • Tracks receipts and compliance for processing subcontractor payments.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports as needed by operations and accounting.
  • Tracks, maintains, and procures Business Licenses.
  • Facilitate month-end closing activities.
  • Provide information, as requested, for the annual audit.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have excellent communications skills both written and verbal to interact with internal and external drivers and customers.
  • Must possess the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects utilizing organizational skills and communications skills.
  • Strong sense of responsibility regarding timely and accurate completion of work, and a strong commitment to corporate goals.
  • Must be capable of functioning under fast pace stressful working conditions.
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with designing Queries and Pivot Tables a plus.
  • Previous experience with Vista Construction Software a plus.

EDUCATIONS and/or WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) or equivalent from four-year college or university; and/or related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
