Pool and Spa Depot, is interviewing candidates for the position of
Office Assistant to work in our Construction Department based at our LaVergne, Tennessee, headquarters
The Construction Office Assistant will be able to perform various administrative tasks and work diligently under pressure with a high degree of attention to detail.
Applicants who apply for this position will need to be able to work until 8 pm weeknights and be available for Saturdays for overtime as needed.
Responsiblities include, but not limited to:
- Maintain an organized office.
- Sort and distribute communications in a timely manner.
- Answer phones and respond to emails from customers
- Submit and track permits to the various municipalities.
- Create and update records ensuring accuracy and validity of information
- Order building permits and follow up as needed
- Communicate with customers in regards to pool builds, timelines, etc.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a construction type office or setting
- Familiarity with construction terminology
- Ability to order permits
- Be comfortable dealing with numbers and processing financial information
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and be exteremely confident using a computer.
- Proficiency in English
- High degree of attention to detail and trustworthiness
- Great writing, organization and communication skills
- Open availability and time management skills are a must in this role.
- Ability to manage multiple projects/responsibilities at the same time.
- Make decisions and solve problems using sound reasoning and judgement
- Proven customer service skills
- Can demonstrate empathy and patience when talking to customers
