Alamon, Inc. is currently hiring an experienced Controller to join our team. The Controller will work with the Director of Finance and Accounting to plan and direct the operations of the accounting department by establishing, monitoring, and upholding company policies and procedures. The Controller will also monitor the financial conditions of the company by conducting audits while protecting company assets and enforcing internal controls. The ideal candidate will have five to eight years of experience as a Controller and a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the activities of the corporate accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports. This is including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, annual reviews, audits, and the annual budget
- Oversee Quarterly and Calendar Year End Filing and Reporting requirements
- Oversee and coordinate corporate income tax for national, state-wide and local compliance
- Prepare monthly internal and external financial reports
- Manage the Employee Stock Ownership Plan including coordinating the annual audit, administrating monthly activities, and maintaining a record of assets
- Coordinate the annual outside review of financial statements and audit of ESOP trust
- Implement, document, and maintain adequate and effective internal controls and systems
- Effectively manage cash balances
- Prepare operating analyses that include insights
- Ensure the Accounting ERP system is functioning appropriately and conduct any necessary reviews or tests to analyze for any upgrades to the system
- Oversee and coordinate federal and state sales tax
- Lead and implement a wide variety of projects and improvements that will continuously evolve and upgrade the accounting departments processes and procedures
- Manage the accounting team
Minimum Qualifications:
- Five to eight years of experience as a Controller or Accounting Manager
- Three to five years in a supervisory role developing and coaching teams
- Experience with multi-business operations and corporate consolidations
- Experience working with Dynamics/ Great Plains or similar ERP systems
- Must possess exceptional skills in Excel and use of the Microsoft Office platform
- Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly growing and evolving industry
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required, CPA preferred
- Proficient with the Google Workspace Suite including Google Chrome, Gmail, Google Sheets and Google Docs
- Excellence in typed/written communication
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test

This position is based out of our Headquarters location in Kalispell Montana, and is non-remote

- Must be able to stoop, lift, carry and bend
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
- Carry or lift a minimum of 25lbs
