Requirements:Summary:
Under the direction, of the Executive Chef and Sous Chef the Cook will perform kitchen duties and ensures efficiency & compliance of all kitchen duties and responsibilities. Other duties may apply.
All employees are responsible to follow all of Nutrition Corp. protocols of Food Safety.
Essential Functions:
Duties include and not limited to mixing raw ingredients, seasoning ingredients, traying ingredients into sheet pans, loading roasting carts, roasting ingredients, taking and logging correct time & temperatures, maintaining cooking logs for every ingredient cooked. Constant communication with veg prep leads is highly important.
- Will assist in the development and implementation of creative menu items, monitor food production, quality and consistency daily ensuring financial performance and control
- Ensure proper food handling and storing practices
- Ensure proper safety and sanitation of all kitchen facilities and equipment
- Assist in organization and facilitation of departmental meetings, training, and goal setting
- Will lead daily preparation and production in specific assigned areas (i.e.: Grill, Keto, Breakfast, etc.)
- Must be able to communicate effectively to all vendors, employees and all departments included but not limited to kitchen, production, label, and transport
- Must be able to perform all duties of cooks such as being able to store, prepare seasonings and ingredients, assemble and wash dishes, and operate commercial kettles, pots, pans, grills, ovens and other equipment necessary to execute meals
- Manage workflow and communicate with all departments so all ingredients are prepared and stored properly
- Take appropriate temperature, make notes on recipe cards, and make appropriate adjustments and changes
- Label meals properly prior to sending to production area along with correct recipe cards
- Be able to communicate with prep team members for recipes to be executed and planned for
- Be able to push and pull 100 lbs. or more and lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Work Environment:
While performing the Cook duties, the employee will work under the direction of head chef in a fast-past environment.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand, crawl, stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach. Lift/push and pull up to 50 lbs. Work in cold/hot environment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Standard days and schedules are usually five days. Days and Hours are subject to change depending on Company needs.
