Summary
Cook must have a desire to serve the families, children, and other employees at PCCC in both heart and food. They are to be an enthusiastic asset to the center. The Cook must be available to prepare and deliver all meals for PCCC children according to the corresponding menus and allergy adjustments while maintaining the Washington Administrative Code (WAC) and CACFP (USDA Food Program) requirements. They must effectively distribute the food required by meal counts to serve all children in attendance for the day. They will create and maintain a workable meal menu, including substitutions needed for children with allergies in the center.
*Preferred hours 9:30 am to 3:00 pm daily Monday - Friday* -There is a possibility of being a full-time position if the applicant would also like to receive training to be in the classrooms as an assistant teacher.

Duties
- Maintain current Food-Handler's Certification.
- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitization requirements for the Kitchen including:
- All surfaces, sinks, and floors,
- PCCC food cupboards,
- Freezer/Fridge, and
- Any other maintenance/sanitization requirements.
- Submit completed chore chart to the office weekly.
- Submit monthly meal menu from Kitchen with notes for any changes to the menu.
- Communicate supply and maintenance needs to Director.
- Complete a weekly inventory and order guide to submit for weekly US Food orders.
- Be available to receive US Food order when it is delivered and check for any errors.
- Put all US Food items away in appropriate location for storage following guidelines.
- Keep up-to-date with requirements based on the WAC, CACFP, PCCC, and LFF policies.
Requirements
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to work alone for extended period of time.
- Food Handlers Permit (can provide training)
- Must clear full background check.
- Must pass health screening.
