Copy Editor Job at Lee Enterprises
The Quad-City Times and Dispatch-Argus has an opening for a copy editor to join our desk Davenport, Iowa. The ideal candidate should excel in editing local stories, wire copy and photo cutlines; writing headlines; planning news pages on deadline; and proofing pages. The candidate must also be able to communicate clearly and concisely with page designers at the Lee Enterprises Design Center to ensure efficient, high-quality production of pages. InDesign experience is not required, but you should have an eye for good design. Daily newspaper experience is preferred, but entry-level candidates with college experience will be considered.
The copy editors work closely with the managing editor to move and present content from a newsroom in a competitive media market of nearly 385,000 people.
