The Copywriter is part of the Creative team within Erickson Senior Living’s Sales, Marketing, and Communications Department. This position is responsible for writing copy for a wide variety of marketing and advertising materials, including print, web, direct mail, brochures, TV, video, and social media, in addition to leading special projects and initiatives and assisting the Copy Manager as needed. Writing samples or writing portfolio required with application.

How you will make an impact:

• Write copy that is clear, compelling, and meets objectives across a broad range of media.
• Work closely with the Strategy team and Creative team to deliver copy that is consistent with established brand standards and messaging.
• Proactively collaborate with Copy Manager and Graphic Design team to ensure written work is appropriate for the target audience and the medium.
• Manage a high volume of writing tasks and adhere to deadlines.

• Lead presentations of creative work during creative review meetings and other meetings/presentations.
• Stay current with emerging advertising, copywriting, and industry trends and seek continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge base.
• Proof, edit, and revise copy as needed. Responsibilities include checking grammar, spelling, and accuracy.
• Lead special projects and initiatives.
• Serve as backup for the Copy Manager, assigning jobs, attending meetings, and providing other support as needed.
• Assist with mentoring the Copy team and onboarding new team members.

Compensation:

Commensurate with experience starting at $50000.00/ year

What you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Mass Communications or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional copywriting experience in a corporate marketing department or advertising agency.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Microsoft Word, PowerPoint. and Microsoft Outlook).
