JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the implementation and on-going administration, maintenance, configuration, customization, troubleshooting, upgrades, integration, and product support of various Network Management Systems (NMS) within Southern Linc’s tool suite (i.e. Ericsson Network Manager, CyberArk IAM, Domain Controller, IBM NetCool, NetScout, Solar Winds Orion, Splunk, and various databases) used by the 24x7x365 Network Operations Center (NOC) to provide monitoring, incident resolution, and root cause analysis within the Southern Linc LTE datacenters, Radio Access Network, IP networking, and transport infrastructure.

This position will provide both infrastructure hardware management and application software management to include security patching, release management, capacity planning, hardware/software lifecycle, vendor management, and new product/project implementation. Maintaining a strong cyber security hygiene in all activities performed, this position must be familiar with Identity & Access Management (IAM) concepts and security best practices. Striving for continuous improvement the candidate will be focused on increasing operational efficiencies through workflow automation, process improvement, alarm enrichment, feature enhancement, and minimizing man-hours needed to complete a task.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills )

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience administering and supporting NMS tools and protocols (Element Managers, probes, gateways, MIBs, SNMP, Corba, SSH, SysLog, etc.) preferred
  • Highly proficient with Linux/Unix operating systems
  • Experience in scripting and workflow automation (Shell scripting, Perl, PHP, JavaScript, Python, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills (physical & virtual servers, IP Networks, software applications)
  • Understanding of cyber security best-practices and IAM concepts
  • Relational database proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL preferred
  • Ability to effectively organize tasks, manage multiple priorities/details, meet schedules, and deliver on customer commitments
  • Self-motivated with the ability to effectively manage multiple project responsibilities simultaneously

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Specify major duties performed by the job and % of time spent on duties.
  • Administer designated Element Managers and application suites by oversee all aspects of their lifecycle (planning, operation, security, upgrade, patching, vendor management, decommission). Deliver high end-user experiences and service reliability.
  • Serve as a Domain and IAM administrator in support of daily operations.Oversee Active Directory, CAS, DNS, Cool Compliance entity creation, and CyberArk IAM. Process requests and provide IAM training as needed.
  • Provide support for ancillary equipment and complex troubleshooting initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflow, increase efficiencies, and address issues in their infancy.
