Fireside Events is a DJ company that specializes in providing services and equipment for events in the Mid-Atlantic region. We are looking for an enthusiastic, kind, and driven employee to lead sales and planning of the corporate/non-profit events at Fireside Events.

Responsibilities

Developing and implementing creative and effective ways of reaching new organizations, businesses, and individuals that are in need of entertainment, event production, and/or audio-visual services.

Fielding first touches in a timely manner; creating custom estimates that fit the needs of each event based on the preliminary conversation with the client.

Gaining complete knowledge of the Fireside services and equipment options (sound, lighting, video, selfie station, special effects, day-of coordination, rigging & staging) and promoting these options when they seem to be a good fit for an event.

Invoicing clients and leading them into the next stages of planning.

Meeting (in-person, on phone, virtually) to plan events in a detailed and creative fashion; gathering and documenting all information that is necessary to know/share in order to execute a successful event.

Staffing the best Fireside team member(s) for each event based on the event requirements and our team's availability.

Creating detailed event documents such as timelines, floor plans, parking maps, etc.

Responding to any questions/additional planning information that the client or the assigned team member(s) have leading up to/on the day of the event.

Following up with the client the week after their event.

Qualifications

A kind, enthusiastic personality. Excited to work with others towards a shared goal.

A passion for events, event production, and entertainment.

A passion for sales and event planning. Experience working in events is a plus!

Comfort with cold-calling and visiting organizations and businesses.

A bachelor's degree (preferred)

Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle

Laptop computer (preferred)

Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google apps, and Dropbox.

An understanding of the importance of timeliness in sales and the event industry.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
