Success in this Role:
- Provide exceptional mentorship to the cosmetology team through thoughtful leadership
- Motivate the team with effective methods utilizing training and technical support

What You’ll Do:
- Coach cosmetology instructors and students to meet service and retail goals while providing on-going recognition, support, and motivation to instructors and students
- Provide recommendations and updates to the Education Manager based on technical assessments of instructors and create a plan for ongoing improvement while addressing student challenges in a timely and effective manner.
- Work closely with Director and Education Managers to develop programs/systems that will enhance the student and guest experience as well as productivity.
- Ensure Aveda technical standards are consistently used by all instructors on the clinic floor.
- Effectively implement and sustain Aveda curriculum initiatives in course curriculum and service cycle on the clinic floor.
- Continuously work at creating and nurturing strong working relationships with other teams throughout the organization.
- Identify and communicate merchandise assortment opportunities and issues to Guest Care while educating team members, students and guests about product knowledge.
- Enforce policies and procedures of the Institute; serve as a role model, and delegate effectively.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding that the spa/salon industry is “high touch,” meaning that it requires strong interpersonal skills and attention to the needs of others. This includes, but is not limited to:

Who You Are:
- Exhibit the ability to identify and achieve goals, execute decisions, and work under strict deadlines
- Possess strong leadership skills and demonstrated talent in mentorship and guidance
- Have a background as a cosmetologist
- Eager to grow within a socially responsible organization
What You’ll Bring:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid state issued Cosmetology or Esthiology License and maintain continuing education
- Strong working knowledge of G-Suites, Google Classroom, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Demonstrate extreme professionalism and confidentiality in manner, dress, and conduct
- Ability to travel locally to events and for out-of-state training and events as necessary.
