Location: Shirley, MA. Position is located at the Souza Baranowski Correctional Center. This is an all-male correctional facility. These positions will be for our new Entry Program.

Pay rate: $23.22/per hour ($48,300 annually). Salary differential is paid to those who are fluent in the Spanish language.

Schedule: Tuesday-Friday, 12:00pm-8:00pm and Saturday 8:00am-4:00pm

The Counselor is responsible for:

• Assessing and evaluating inmate needs.
• Monitoring inmate compliance with all program and Massachusetts Department of Correction (MA DOC) rules and regulations.
• Facilitating classes and group sessions as defined by curriculum and according to Spectrum Health Systems standards.
• Maintaining records in accordance with Spectrum and MA DOC policies and procedures.
• Participating in multi-disciplinary treatment planning, case reviews, conferences and other meetings as directed.
• Providing case management services as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in criminal justice, human services, education, or closely related field required.
• DOC experience and CADC or LADC preferred.
