This position is within the Court Attendance Division and is primarily responsible for attending court and recording and implementing the directions of the court. The work is performed under general supervision and reviewed by observation, exception reports, and sampling by the division supervisor.

- Attend court events
- Record court minutes
- Set hearings on appropriate dockets
- Implement court orders
- Issue capias
- Accept and process exhibits
- Perform basic docketing and data entry
- Entering/updating case disposition
- Preparing Judgment & Sentence and other disposition forms
- Prepare DOC commitment packets
- Attend court events

Licensure or Certification Requirements:
Valid Florida Driver's License as you may be required to attend hearings at our Annex location.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, and ABILITIES:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Graduation from a community college; graduation from high school and two years of office clerical experience will substitute for the two years of college. The applicant must be able to operate a variety of office equipment, including computer in a Windows environment, proficiency in Word and Excel, Benchmark, JMS and JIS a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be able to read and interpret documents such as instructions and procedure manuals.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Must be able to solve practical problems and to deal with a variety of work variables.
- Must be able to interpret instructions either oral, written, diagram, or schedule in form.
The ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Must be able to interact effectively with other staff and the public.
- Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals or groups.
- Must be able to interpret assignment needs and to communicate effectively with employees and management.
- Must be able to work independently.
The employee must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time, perform repetitive actions and motion of one or both hands, hear ordinary conversation and office sounds, conduct verbal communication in person and on the phone, and prepare and read written communication by hand and on PC. This position will handle evidence entered at hearing or trial, some may be hazardous.
Possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
Complete Background Check of Florida Crime Information Center (FCIC)/ National Crime Information Center (NCIC).
Past Employment Verification.

Pre-employment drug test at County designated test location.
