Spokane Galvanizing, Inc. is currently looking for a full-time Maintenance Mechanic to join our family. Spokane Galvanizing is located in Airway Heights, WA and all interviews will take place at Spokane Galvanizing facility.
Summary: Operates traveling overhead crane to lift, move, and position loads, products, and racks, such as hooks and slings. Observes load hookup and ascertains safety of load. Manipulates or depresses crane controls with remote control box, to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions. Cleans and maintains crane and hoisting mechanism. Inspects crane for defective parts and notifies supervisor of defects or malfunctions. May attach load to hook or other crane accessory prior to operating crane.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to carry out essential job functions, included but not limited to:
- Inspect all staged parts are racked and pickled properly to ensure the highest quality
- Ensure all racks, bows and baskets are properly tagged correctly with customer name, part number/description and piece count
- Perform daily process tank checks
- Organization of work area including but not limiting sweeping and clearing walkways, deposing debris in designated containers, skimming off kettle and depositing in proper containments
- Track all customer product through the kettle and report to production foreman
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); 3-5 years experience operating a crane. Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations. Ability to safely operate a forklift and other mechanical equipment.
Work schedule:
Monday – Friday, day shift Shifts will vary depending on workload
Background check and Pre-employment drug & Medical screens will be required.
Compensation:
Up to $24 per hour or DOE
