POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Position: Custodian - District Assigned to Pryor Campus

Non-Exempt Support, Full-Time, 12-month Staff

Starting Date: July 1, 2023

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

Schedule: General work schedule of 2:30 to 11:00 Monday - Friday, unless the assignment requires additional time for completion.

Compensation

Package: $31,030 minimum annually, commensurate with experience. Health, dental, vision, paid life insurance, and teachers’ retirement paid; flexible benefits plan; sick leave, vacation, and paid holidays. Health insurance allowance. The total minimum compensation package is approximately $51,030 minimum annually.

Primary

Function: In order to promote quality career and technology training by providing students with a safe, attractive, clean, and comfortable place to learn, responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to cleaning assigned educational buildings and grounds, general maintenance, repairs, remodeling, assistance with general remodel and construction including painting, changing light bulbs, etc.; and set up and tear down for special classes and events. Also provide a safe and secure facility by making sure doors and gates are locked, and lights and alarms are working as assigned. Responsibilities also include any other duties assigned by the maintenance supervisor, director of facilities, and/or campus director.

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Experience: Experience and competency in the following areas are needed: Experience in custodial and/or maintenance work, operating equipment and tools in performing minor repairs. Must have good communication skills, basic computer skills are preferred. Must have the physical ability to accomplish thorough cleaning of buildings, have understanding and experience in light repairs and remodeling of buildings.
