We are looking to recruit an organized, motivated, and passionate individual to join our top performing Sales Management Team. This new team member will work with one of our top customers, Overstock. This individual will co-develop, sell and implement retailer specific merchandising programs. They will be directly responsible for revenue, margin, and item maintenance.


Top candidates will have a broad Overstock skill set including product maintenance, sales process management, negotiations skills, analytical horsepower, excellent business judgment, deep curiosity about how things work. You must have the presence and communication skills to represent Walker Edison across assigned retail partners.


Essential Job Duties:

  • Maintains regular contact by phone, email and in-person with Overstock to discuss and evaluate program strategies, marketing plans and promotional initiatives.
  • Expert knowledge of Overstock's Supplier Oasis Partner Portal, teams, programs, and KPIs.
  • Analyze retail and wholesale product sales and review with customer to identify opportunities and understand performance versus competitors and customers overall business.
  • Internally analyze Walker Edison revenue and margin performance against plan and create action plan where appropriate.
  • Responsible for negotiating and maintaining cooperative advertising allowances. Work directly with Finance and Analytics team to review and reconcile advertising accrual and promotional funds monthly.
  • Resolve accounting issues regarding unidentified deductions, co-op expenditures, pricing, etc.
  • Follow up on the status of customer orders daily to ensure that their needs and timelines are met. Ensure that any shipping issues are resolved. Work with internal support teams to manage shipping, compliance and proper inventory planning and fulfillment.
  • Cultivate business relationships with Category Managers and support teams.
  • Coordinate and facilitate monthly planning calls between Walker Edison and Overstock.
  • Work with Walker Edison and Overstock to manage content optimization as necessary.
  • Keep abreast of digital marketplace, pricing, customer strategy as related to drop ship, warehouse, flash, brick & mortar and Omni channel retail trends.
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to create meeting presentations.
  • Attend meetings with the appropriate sales management throughout the year. Maintain regular communication via email and phone.
  • Take ownership of the internal set up process.
  • All other related duties as directed by sales management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years' experience working in Partner Home and strong knowledge of Overstock programs and KPIs.
  • Must be able to work with and develop a relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must be able to present products, programs and ideas to potential buyer of Walker Edison product.
  • Must maintain a current knowledge and understanding of Walker Edison products.
  • Must possess negotiating skills.
  • Must possess strong independent decision-making skills and ability to exercise good judgment.
  • Must be detail oriented with excellent time management skills.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English both in verbal and written formats.
  • Must be able to travel for meetings, account visits and industry shows as necessary.
  • Ability to work remotely from a personal home office required.
