About the Role

The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for supporting individual procurement projects and/or assigned commodities by applying procurement tools, negotiation skills, and best practices. In addition, the role assists with contract implementation and execution, and supplier reviews for assigned contracts. The Sourcing Specialist collaborates proactively to identify sourcing, contract, and process improvement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Source suppliers and support bid evaluations, cost analyses, price justifications, and supplier risk assessments.
• Assist with supplier negotiations on new procurements or changes to existing purchase orders.
• Draft purchase orders and agreements for approval by the Sourcing & Commodity Manager.
• Participate and coordinate supplier meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a relevant discipline.
• Experience or exposure to supply chain concepts, methodologies, and manufacturing through internships or training programs.
• Must possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities.
• Intermediate computer skills and understanding of electronic processing.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interaction with all internal and external contacts.
