About the Role
The Damage Prevention Dispatcher will report to the Operations Lead. The position will play a key role in dispatching daily utility jobs to field service techs via computer for residential and commercial accounts. This position requires excellent communication skills and strong organizational skills.
What You’ll Do
- Dispatching & Communication
- Dispatch utility jobs to field service techs first thing in the mornings and periodically throughout the day
- Route work to field service technicians by dispatching work orders to a handheld device
- Sort and separate field service work orders and send to service techs in the field
- Maintain regular communication with field service technicians
- Communicate and answer questions from customers
- Time Management & Prioritization
- Prioritize multiple tasks throughout the day and ensure completion in a timely manner
- Provide timely reports to management or customers regularly
- Assist with administrative duties as assigned
- Other duties as needed
About You
Must haves:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Be fully qualified in locating gas mains and services through the NGA OQ program

Salary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Bermex salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to customer contact terms, location, experience, and performance. Other rewards may include Paid Time Off, 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match, ESOP contributions, medical, dental, and vision insurance, and other region-specific benefits as eligible.
Salary Range Transparency
For applicants residing in NY, the salary for this role is $18/hr
