Data Scientist Lead - Customer Segmentation Job at JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A.
Job Responsibilities
- Analytics: Manage all phases of the analytics life cycle, including documenting data lineage, analysis scoping, data development, hypothesis development, data analysis, generating insights, developing & delivering presentations of findings.
- Thought Leadership: Define & manage our approach to identify & prioritize segment growth opportunities with most impact
- Project Management: Manage & prioritize constantly changing and evolving set of projects. Be able to organize and report on progress on a regular basis.
- Communication: Prepare & deliver presentations summarizing sharp insights and conclusions for executive
- Perform market sizing analytics, including profiling competitors' offerings / strategies and identifying factors driving growth or change in industry structure.
- Identifying and developing growth strategies, based on identifying customer segments, buying behaviors, and customer value propositions.
- Establish and manage relationships with internal clients and partner
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- 5+ years of industry experience in Data Science or Business Analytics roles (e.g., Marketing Analytics, Sales Analytics, Business Insights)
- Bachelor's degree in relevant quantitative field required (e.g. Statistics, Economics, Applied Math, Operations Research, Physics, Data Science fields)
- Experience of leading teams, with a proven track record of being driving value for the business; direct people leadership experience desired
- Thought leader in analytics who can help our internal clients define their business problem, create solutions to address it, and deliver those solutions
- Foundational and applied knowledge of statistical analyses, data science, and machine learning including, but not limited to:
- descriptive, inferential, and where relevant, causal statistics
- predictive and forecast modeling
- optimization modeling
- NLP and various deep learning approaches
- A/B testing methods
- Language and technology proficiency in SQL, Hive, Hadoop, Spark, Python, and R
- Excellent communicator who is able to convey complex information in an understandable, compelling, and persuasive manner to non-technical clients and executives and junior data scientists
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Financial services background preferred, but not required
- Advanced degree preferred
