Aqua Finance, Inc. is looking for a Data Warehouse Architect to join our thriving Business Analytics and Pricing team. We’re growing and we are looking for a driven individual who will be responsible for the conception, design, development, and deployment of data architecture and data models. This person will also play an integral role in working with various business units to develop the data warehouse platform vision, strategy, and roadmap.

Flexible work option: Although working at our Headquarters location in Wausau, WI is preferred, you can choose to work REMOTE from your own home office space in Minnesota.

What you will be doing as a Data Warehouse Architect

• Design, develop, organize, and manage databases (data marts) to store and organize data.
• scrutinizes the current data warehouse (DW) infrastructure to identify gaps and develop a plan to integrate current systems to achieve a desired future state.
• responsible for writing code to create new and secure framework for databases that may be used by the respective Aqua businesses.
• actively participate with the Business Intelligence Reporting and Data Science teams to build analytics solutions to extract insights from data and translating data to the development of dashboards and other data visualization projects for business users.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of architectural principles, data integration styles, data models and data integration tools
• SQL Programming knowledge required
• Knowledge of BI, analytics, structured data, such as entities, classes, hierarchies, relationships, and metadata
• Knowledge of database management system (DBMS) physical implementation, including tables, joins and SQL querying
• Knowledge and extensive experience using Power BI; Tableau; Azure Services (Data Warehouse, Analysis Services, Synapse, DevOps); SSRS; Python; SQL
• Familiarity with the use cases, business purposes and quality of the data
• Track record in succeeding in a goal-driven environment
• Exceptional written and spoken communication skills with active listening abilities to contribute to making strategic decisions and advise senior management on specialized technical issues, which will have an impact on the business
• Strong team building skills: it is crucial that the right candidate be able to provide direction for complex projects, mentor junior team members, and communicate the organization’s preferred technologies and frameworks across development teams.
• Ability to use phone, fax, email, Internet.
• Use MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to facilitate the efficient management of data and the development of reports/promotional/informational/training materials.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions of customer requirements. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
