Schedule Monday-Friday Day Shift
Full Time - Pay Range $85,000 - $100,000 annually based on experience

What You Can Offer Gensco as a Database Developer:

• Ability to understand front-end user's requirements and a customer service focused attitude is a must
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred
• In-depth understanding of data management (security, performance, etc.)
• Understand and use normalization methods and design methodologies
• Experience designing stable, reliable, and scalable new SQL Server OLTP and OLAP databases as well as modifying existing databases
• SQL Server Management Studio experience
• Moderately complex SQL required
• Demonstrated success in working independently and in team collaboration
• Proactive, self-motivated, able to recognize issues and resolve or escalate appropriately
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining metadata models and complex ETL packages is desired
• Demonstrated ability to create technical documentation
• Direct experience in SSRS and either Tableau or PowerBI preferred
• Experience using Azure DevOps or other version control system (Atlassian Bitbucket, AWS CodeCommit, etc.) desired
• Experiencing working in a SCRUM or Agile environment also a plus
• Excellent analytical, documentation, organization, and communication skills
• Familiarity with any of the following: Python, R, C#, PowerShell
• Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 ERP software system preferred

What You’d Be Doing:

• Ensure all custom databases meet company security and performance requirements
• Liaise with all developers to improve applications and establish best practices
• Work through early stages of the software lifecycle to profile data and to create conceptual, logical & physical data model designs with appropriate structure and relationships for optimal performance
• Mentor junior team members
• Develop complex database structures and features according to organizational needs
• Develop custom reporting and procedures as required

This position can be eligible for FULLY REMOTE in any state that we currently operate in: WA, OR, MT, AK, and ID.
