Bright Starts Daycare & Learning Center has a unique job opening for the right applicant. The role is a hybrid position where primary responsibilities are preparing and serving lunch on a daily basis and also occasionally assisting teachers in the rooms caring for children.

This position can be full or part-time. Monday through Friday.

Daycare Cook Responsibilities / Requirements:

• Prepares meals/snacks for children and staff according to guidelines and provided menus.
• Distributes food to classrooms following appropriate health and safety guidelines, and policies.
• Follows daily menu provided by the Director which incorporates USDA, licensing and/or health department regulations.
• Ensures safe food preparations and proper sanitation methods are used and maintains a safe kitchen/pantry area.
• Maintains inventory of food and supplies.
• Must be able to work independently.
• SUBERB punctuality

Position also requires completion of First Aid and CPR Certification within 21 days of employment. Completion of online Basic Child Care Courses (online and no cost) & annual training. Attend and participate in all staff meetings and center events, as requested. Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
