Dealer Relationship Manager, Auto Finance (Dallas, TX, Chicago, IL or Denver CO) Job at JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A.
This role supports dealers to develop dealer profitability, maximize various available finance programs, increase customer loyalty, and train dealer personnel as needed. Training dealers on contracts/worksheets; lease training of sales teams; inform dealers of policy, procedures and pricing changes; and assist dealers and DMS providers to correct system programming/mapping to eliminate contract errors and troubleshoot digital eContracting issues. DRMs will also be expected to train and educate dealers on remarketing strategies/programs to help mitigate losses and create brand loyalty; along with handling all customer service issues and end of term questions that stem from the remarketing process of our existing lease portfolio. They will need to maintain strong relationships and regular communication with Route One, Dealertrack and Open Dealer Exchange to promote digital eContracting growth and support dealer signup and consistent usage. DRMs are responsible to attain assigned objectives and certain key performance measures that include, but are not limited to originations volume, market share, eContracting, upstream sales, commercial referrals, customer satisfaction, title/lien perfections and AMTA and MFS NA Regional Manager engagement.
Job responsibilities
- Foster a strong relationship and have great communication with their credit team, especially with the assigned underwriter, with the expectation of them to lead the team in the strategic execution of the territory's objectives.
- Lead and be the liaison between dealers, funding, and credit to make sure dealers experience a high level of customer service with credit and funding teams (credit, tier and rate exceptions, and aged pending contracts).
- Along with credit and funding, you will resolve customer complaint issues by working with Dealer, AMTA and MCL NADe and the Executive Office.
- Resolve/expedite title and lien release issues from retail and lease including lease vehicles sold through the remarketing process.
- Resolve special collections issues by gathering specific information from the dealer records to aide in resolution, which might include collecting payoffs on fraud or dealer buyback issues.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Extensive travel in the territory to assigned dealers is required and must be willing to travel up to 85%, with 80% being air travel. Travel to include periodic joint visits with credit, remarketing, AMFS-MFS management, JPMC Private Bank/Wealth Management Advisors, Chase Auto and Commercial Services colleagues, as well as AMTA and MCL NA staff
- Manage expenses to maximize monthly budget while still maintaining good expense discipline
- Experience managing large sales territory with in-depth and meaningful meetings
- Sales and/or Underwriting experience within the auto finance industry and d emonstrated people management skill and ability to influence
- Knowledge of indirect auto finance industry and e xcellent sales presentation skills to motivate new and existing clients to use our services and products
- Thorough knowledge of indirect finance products (retail and lease)
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain client relationships
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- One-year financial statements analysis experience
