As a Design Engineer, you will be our in-house design expert to help develop and provide engineering services for the Marketing & Technology group.
You will be a hands-on and solutions-focused engineer who will perform solid modelling, detailed drafting, analysis/simulation, site-based reverse engineering, and other technical requirements for Bradken’s Mineral Processing division. You will be working collaboratively with our regional product development team as well as our sales team to help establish Bradken as the market leader and help meet our customer’s needs.
You will perform solid modelling, detailed drafting, analysis/simulation, site based reverse engineering and other technical requirements for current and future products. You will also be a problem solver who will assist with product failure investigations to determine root cause analysis and ultimately help improve of our products. You will attend customer sites to perform inspections on performance, installation of new product and provide technical support.

Key Technical Criteria:
- Degree in mechanical engineering or similar stream. (Diploma in mechanical engineering may be considered).
- Experience in the use of Ansys FEA and DEM software.
- Proficiency in the use of CAD (Unigraphics NX preferred) including 3D modelling and 2D drafting.
- Teamcenter PLM experience would be a benefit.
- Experience developing new products to meet customer requirements.
- Knowledge of mineral processing, material handling equipment, and processes would be an asset.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
