Allen Keller Company, based in Fredericksburg, TX, is offering an opportunity to join a heavy highway road construction company as a Diesel Mechanic Apprentice in Fredericksburg, TX. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Work closely with Diesel Mechanic
- Follow and use Service Manual
- Order parts correctly and timely
- Knowledge of rebuilding cylinders and replacing turbos
- Diagnose / Repair electrical problems
- Diagnose / Repair hydraulic problems
- Diagnose / Repair engine problems
- Troubleshoot & finish repairs in adequate time
- Read electric & hydraulic schematics
- Assist with Re-Build engine components
- Perform A/C work
- Turn in complete and accurate paperwork (receipts, work orders, etc.)
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma required
- Mechanic experience required
- Must have valid Driver's License
- Must be able to pass DOT physical and Drug test
