The role you’ll contribute:
This position is responsible for directing and supervising the overall operations of the behavioral health services including, planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating patient care for patients of all ages according to predefined internal and regulatory standards. This is done with respect to a multidisciplinary team approach and with the assurance of a safe and comfortable patient environment, while recognizing and ensuring patient’s rights.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Provide leadership and oversight in the delivery of behavioral and mental health services across multiple service areas, programs and overall service delivery sites. This includes the development of protocols, policy and procedures applicable to behavioral/mental health service staff and programs.
- Ensure compliance in all aspects of providing mental health services either directly or by collaborative efforts with Behavioral Health and Quality Assurance staff. Provide guidance and support to Directors, Managers, Coordinators and Clinical Supervisors in the management of behavioral health services at all levels and AdventHealth System locations.
- Administrative planning and oversight of fiscal operating and capital budgets assigned to behavioral health services programs and services.
- Stay up to date on trends in standards of practice for behavioral health services. Provide assistance in (directly or indirectly) training staff in necessary protocols, treatment methods, and intervention strategies for quality behavioral health service delivery.
- Directly supervise professional behavioral health staff across different service platforms and programs to ensure performance measures are met in a manner that respects funding requirements and established quality assurance protocols.
- Manages all behavioral health service lines according to regulatory standards. Provide leadership and oversight of staff in both clinical and support supervisory settings.
- Provide coaching and hands-on supervision as needed with all behavioral health staff. Works with staff and/or Human Resources in cases requiring corrective or disciplinary action and performance improvement planning
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Master’s degree in a business, health care, or behavioral health related field as required by State of Texas
- Minimum 3 years of professional licensure working in behavioral health experience.
- 3 years of experience in leadership level position with knowledge in Hospital Administration or related field.
- Knowledge of labor relations, board and medical staff relations, human resource management, marketing and economics.
- Experience in the area of planning and coordination of all operations in a multi-hospital system is preferred.
- Excellent time management, communications, and human relations skills are required.
