Director Business Analytics
Within US Pharma Commercial Insights (CI), this role drives all analytics to increase revenue and profits for the Business Unit (BU). Specifically, lead the execution of various Commercial Effectiveness and Marketing Analytics for Customer Targeting & Segmentation, Patient Data Analytics, Brand Performance Analytics, Promotional Impact & ROI Assessment including measurement of pilots/experiments and Marketing Mix Optimization & Investment Guidance.
This role requires strong leadership experience in enabling advanced data analytics and solutions with the ability to comfortably connect analytics to business decisions, as the incumbent will be interacting with several functions, including Forecasting, Finance, Market Intelligence, Managed Markets, Technology and Digital.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and lead the implementation of an annual analytics charter aligned to business priorities.
- Lead the timely execution of CIO Signature Deliverables that include Performance Analytics & Reporting, Customer Guidance (Segmentation & Targeting), Marketing Mix/Investment Guidance and other adhoc analytics by leveraging best-in-class framework and methodology maximizing the impact of evidence-driven business decisions.
- Lead, at times hands-on, in the development of hypotheses, models, and solution frameworks for new & unstructured business problems, driving effective application and value of advanced analytics.
- Collaborate and partner effectively with various stakeholders across the enterprise, including CI, Marketing, Sales, Digital, Finance, and Technology teams; respond to ad hoc strategic business questions from senior management.
- Actively participate in the strategic roadmap for shaping and transforming the Business Analytics function and advancing the vision for enabling next generation of analytics at GSK.
- Lead and coach a team of managers and contract workers
- Facilitate the development of Business Analytics Managers.

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics, Finance/ Economics
- Professional experience in marketing analytics, full-time employment in mid-large organizations, or in leading global management consulting firm, with focus on Marketing and Customer Analytics, ideally in U.S. commercial pharma
- Experience in marketing fundamentals & frameworks that can be applied to solve analytical problems
- Methodological hands-on mastery and experience of relevant analytical approaches and models, including segmentations, clustering methods, promotional response, digital analytics
- Working experience and understanding of both syndicated and non-syndicated pharmaceutical commercial data
- Experience with analytical & visualization tools, manipulating different datasets & statistical modeling
Preferred Qualifications:
- M.Sc in Computer Sciences, Operations Research, Analytics, Statistics, Finance/ Economics or related
- Experience in commercial analytics focused on biologics
- Experience in multiple commercial analytics functions like call planning, targeting, customer segmentation, resource allocation/optimization
- Communication and presentation skills as evidenced through impactful presentations
