Director, Business Improvement: Responsible for leading large-scale business unit and enterprise-wide initiatives through the expert deployment of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies which optimize end-to-end operations, create efficiencies, enhance quality and position the organization for profitable growth by mitigating the need for incremental administrative costs. Specifically, this role will be accountable for managing the Market Service Business Change Directors/Market Leads who act as the primary point of contact for end-to-end escalations for their identified markets. Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Accountability and oversight of the relationships between their Market Leads and Health Care Network and Health Plan teams as the teams establish effective engagement models to facilitate discussions around root cause analysis results and trends as well as ongoing updates of escalations, projects and issues.
  • Collaborates with the Provider Data Solutions Front Office to ensure consistency of and transparency with specific market activities, issues and data remediation efforts, co-creating materials that facilitate effective dialogue with business partners.
  • Establishes and oversees a highly matrixed structure, with collaboration within and across the Enablement Office, Provider Data Solutions and Health Solutions teams.
  • Develops and deploys a business improvement discipline and practice across the organization, adopting practices of Lean and Six Sigma and following the DMAIC approach across all phases.
  • Aligns internal resources to projects and manages external sourcing to obtain full competency to complete projects.
  • Support department-level and enterprise executives in decision-making, setting strategic goals, and investment priorities that position the organization for digital and automation capabilities and in goal setting activities.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS in the healthcare field and minimum of 10 years experience at a director or above level; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Lean and Six Sigma Black Belt certification or obtained within 6-months of employment required.
  • Ability to travel required.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Strategic planning in operational settings, data analysis and has driven continuous improvement in the healthcare industry through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies strongly preferred.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $144,240 to $272,614.

Locations: California, Colorado; Nevada, Washington State, Jersey City, NJ; New York City, NY; Ithaca, NY and Westchester County, NY
