Director, Financial and Strategic Partnerships will have dual responsibilities for (1) launching and managing of AMC’s co-branded credit card to drive EBITDA and (2) proactively pursuing value-add partnerships to drive attendance and topline revenue growth.

This position has significant scope and opportunity to launch/grow new partnerships that will serve to significantly support AMC’s future growth prospects, which will in turn deliver outsized value to our customers and shareholders.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to launch an AMC co-branded credit card
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to execute multi-channel acquisition and lifecycle management campaigns to grow the credit card portfolio
  • Identifying and managing relationships with strategic external partners to meaningfully contribute to AMC’s attendance and revenue
  • Effectively partnering with Finance and Accounting organizations
  • Leading program financials, including financial statement and actuarial best practices
  • Own program economics, with a goal of increasing overall net profit
  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns for the credit card to drive key metrics including new accounts, active rates, attrition rates and average spend per active cardmember
  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns around strategic partnerships to drive key metrics including attendance, market share and EBITDA
What we need from you:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years (8+ preferred) in B2C, retail-oriented industries with high velocity and scale, such as: eCommerce, hospitality/travel, entertainment, retail
  • Experience working closely with technical and analytics teams
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Action-oriented problem solver – Seeks out opportunities to make things better and can quickly diagnose and resolve issues as they arise. Envisions experiences and applications that may not be in market or adapts those that are to suit unaddressed business opportunities.
  • Reliable partner – Proven ability to successfully work across organizations (marketing, technology, sales, operations, strategic partners) and influence without authority. Proven ability to successfully manage multiple external partners to deliver with quality, on time, and on budget.
  • Learning mindset – Has a growth mentality, a keen critical eye, and an ability to quickly learn. Is current on customers and technologies and is self-directed enough to always stay that way.
  • Measurement mentality – Seeks to quantify the value of key activities and makes data-driven decisions. Understands well the relative value of different projects and can prioritize accordingly.
  • Effective manager – Can self-initiate work, simultaneously manage multiple major projects, and direct resources efficiently. Strong project management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Partnership Experience and Expertise – Proven record of accomplishment owning and growing strategic marketing partnerships in a B2C retail environment at scale. Proven record of driving materials partnership revenue on an annual basis.
  • Expert owner and operator – Proven record of accomplishment owning and growing performance marketing programs at scale and retail velocity. Proven record of developing and executing 1-to-1 personalization at scale and driving incremental revenue via targeted offers and partner marketing.
What we also value (preferred):
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA)
  • 8+ years in owning and operating world-class loyalty or performance marketing programs
  • Experience across multiple industries
  • Experience developing and maintaining key strategic partnerships
  • Strong preference for partnership and credit card/financial services expertise
  • Executive presence – Is professional, emotionally intelligent, and self-aware. Understands situational communication and can present ideas effectively across a wide range of audiences.

  • Credit Card/Financial Services Experience and Expertise – Proven record of accomplishment in credit card and/or financial services space
