The Director of Nursing assumes authority, responsibility and accountability for all nursing services. This individual collaborates with the administrative team in an efficient and economic manner to ensure the highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of consumers. This individual also collaborates with all other departments, medical professionals, consultants, and organizations including government agencies and advocacy groups to support and coordinate excellent client care. MUST HAVE HOME HEALTH CARE EXPERIENCE.

Director of Nursing Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; master's degree preferred
• Valid MA RN License and graduated from an accredited school of nursing
• Up-to-date CPR Certification
• 3-5 years professional nursing experience in an acute facility/setting or homecare
• 3 years nursing administration or comparable management experience
• Pass criminal background check, OIG AND DPH verifications
• Follows federal and state laws and regulations that apply to a home health setting
• Demonstrates excellent leadership, organization, communication skills, and time management skills
• Home health care management, policies, budgeting, personnel management and census development
• Presentation skills; present to higher management, public groups, and nursing staff
• Able to determine problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions
• Read, analyze and interpret journals, financial reports and legal documents

Director of Nursing Responsibilities:

• Follows and implements current standard nursing practices, facility philosophy, and operational policies while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations
• Understanding and application of Key Clinical Quality Indicators and implements systems to meet company thresholds
• Responsible for supervising and providing in-service education and skills regarding compassionate, quality care and resident rights to nurses
• Reviews and reinforces important standards
