Director of Special Events Job at Food For Thought Catering
Food for Thought is one of Northeast Ohio’s largest, full-service catering companies. We have provided innovative cuisine for more than 32 years. We are looking for a Director/Manager to join our team. The Director runs the Special Events Department in performing a variety of tasks essential to executing a successful event.
Responsibilities
- Following up on event inquiries as they come in
- Creating menus, estimates, and event contracts
- Handle staffing needs and consistently update and maintain staffing roster
- Admin tasks included but not limited to updating and maintaining event books and event calendar
- Collaborate with venues and vendors on behalf of clients
- Build and maintain relationships with clients through strong communication and active rapport
Qualifications
- High School Diploma Required, Associates Degree preferred
- Strong communication and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work well with others
- Positive attitude, self-motivated, and desire to assist customers
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking tools
- Previous hospitality experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and QuickBooks
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
