The Role at a Glance:
We are excited to bring on a passionate Director of Project Management to our Workplace Solutions, Reengineering team to work in our remote based office.
Background Details
The Reengineering team is responsible for improving the way in which Lincoln delivers value to its customers. The team has grown significantly over the past few years and with the addition of multiple Group Protection functions, the team is adding a leader to support the growth.
As the Director of Project Management, you will have the opportunity to set direction for and lead an innovative team leading transformational change. In partnership with executive leaders, this individual will develop a vision and strategy for the future of the way we work.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead, coach, and develop an amazing team of 7-10 lean six-sigma/process improvement experts
- Direct and enhance organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility
- Identify and direct the implementation of process improvements and large-scale transformational changes that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality across the department for their assigned area(s) of responsibility
- Partner closely with agile technical teams and business leaders to secure resources and ensure on time delivery
- Provide direction to team to ensure projects for their assigned area(s) meet quality, schedule, milestone, and budget commitments
What we’re looking for
Must-haves:
- 3-5+ years of process improvement experience
- 1-3+ years financial services and/or insurance experience
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
Nice-to-haves:
- 1-3+ years of leadership or managerial experience
- 4 Year/Bachelor’s in Business Management, Risk Management, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- Group Protection insurance experience
- Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt
