Position: Dispatcher -John W. Stone Oil Distributor (MEGA Lubricants)

Location: MEGA Lubricants Facility Houston, TX

Summary Description: This position is responsible for coordinating the transportation and distribution of fuel and lubricants to customers in the commercial, industrial, and marine operations. This position supports company operations by loading and delivering products via vessel (inland boats and barges), tractor-trailer, stake beds, and tanker truck in a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible manner. This position requires the dispatch operations of such vehicles on urban, industrial, and high-speed roadways during both daylight and nighttime hours in all weather conditions. Dispatch of marine vessels on Texas Inland Waterway System

Work Schedule: Monday Friday 8 am 5pm with ability to fill in for other dispatchers working 7 days on and 7 days off rotation. In addition, availability to address emergency calls on nights and weekends

Essential Job Duties:

• Responsible for scheduling vessels and equipment
• Promote safety and environmental objectives
• Comply with company policies and procedures
• Work with facility manager and dispatch team to develop delivery strategies to achieve timely fulfillment.
• Work with CSRs in conjunction with orders from intake to completion.
• Coordinate marine fuel and lube dispatching from pickup to ship delivery.
• Familiarity with marine agents and marine dispatchers in the Texas region
• Promote all Federal Motor Carrier and State and United States Coast Guard safety regulations and requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two (2) years dispatch experience in marine terminal operations (preferred) or related industry experience
• Good reading and writing skills are necessary, with the ability to read and understand logbooks, purchase orders, and maps and directions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate with various personnel within the company and other companies.
• Must have mathematical skills to calculate load quantities.
• Ability to make sound decisions.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Self-motivated and multi-task oriented.
• Must posses a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and show an ability to learn computer operating systems.
• Good customer relations skills.
• Drivers License.

High School degree or equivalent
