Diversity & Inclusion Data Analyst Job at Brown and Caldwell
We are looking for a Diversity and Inclusion Data Analyst who will conduct complex qualitative and quantitative data analytics to support the implementation and execution of Diversity and Inclusion initiatives. In this role, you will analyze people data to provide rich insights, complete analysis, develop people forecasting models and support D&I strategic priorities for the organization. To be successful in this role, you will have excellent communication and consultation skills and be able to translate data into easy-to-understand models and visuals that utilize internal and external data sources. You will report to and partner closely with the Sr. Director, Diversity and Inclusion.
This position is hybrid and can be filled from any location in the U.S. with preference in Denver, CO, or San Diego and Irvine California.
Detailed Description:
- Partner with the Senior Director of D&I to perform in-depth data analytics, including quantitative, statistical, and comparative analysis, to determine patterns and recognize trends through the lens of DEI.
- Assist the Senior Director of D&I with the preparation and submission of timely and accurate quarterly and annual reports, as well as client and industry surveys, benchmarking, and external program data, priorities, initiatives, etc.
- Partner with HR leadership to generate and test hypotheses that answer business questions and support internal HR data requests as needed.
- Provide data insights for external programs using the equity-focused framework, to support talent management, recruitment, retention, learning and development, and other internal DEI strategies.
- Responsible for assuring the accuracy and validity of both source data and results and partnering with the Senior Director of D&I on interpreting results into recommendations.
- Translate data into written reports, tables, graphs, and charts (including developing creative data visualizations to illustrate critical findings); interpret data results to provide written commentary that articulates pertinent findings.
- Support recognition of holiday observances through the creation of holiday observance toolkits for use by leaders and employees.
- Partner with the Senior Director of D&I and the HR Business Partnership team on the annual employee engagement survey. Provide data insights and analytics to inform action planning.
- Lead DEI compliance efforts including federal and state affirmative action planning and annual self-ID campaign.
- Support ad hoc reporting for the company’s DEI programs, and initiatives.
- Provide support to multiple DEI projects to execute the DEI strategy.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of information, promote data governance, and steward ongoing improvements of overall data quality.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, economics, statistics, or business administration is required.
- Four or more years of relevant experience with data analytics and reporting metrics are required.
- Experience in diversity and inclusion in the engineering or consulting industry or another professional services industry preferred.
- Must be highly analytical with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Familiar with Human Resources concepts, practices, and procedures preferred.
- Proven track record with analytical skills, data visualization, and project management skills, and the ability to routinely manage large data sets required.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
- High proficiency with MS Office - Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Prior experience with SharePoint online including creation and editing of online content.
- A mature mindset in interactions with all levels of staff
- High regard for confidentiality
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be more or less depending on skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Location A: $68,000 – $92,000
Location B: $75,000 - $102,000
Location C: $82,000 - $111,000
