Dry Eye Technician Job at Bridgeview Eye Partners
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
- IRPL Schedule management.
- Perform various visual and diagnostic tests.
- Prepare patients for treatment by communicating the features and benefits of the IRPL program.
- Perform IRPL treatments in office.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, doctors and staff regarding IRPL treatments.
- Enter treatment data into EHR in a timely fashion.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Previous experience in optometry/ophthalmology is required.
- Previous experience of treatment of meibomian gland dysfunction preferred.
COMPETENCIES:
- Proficient in EHR data entry
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Quality of work reflects efficiency and accuracy
- A strong commitment to helping people
- Polite, professional, and courteous
- Proactive, adaptable, with the ability to work under pressure to accomplish projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT (per ADA guidelines):
- Physical Activity: Standing for sustained periods of time, Stooping, Grasping, Lifting, Talking, Hearing.
- Physical requirements: Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis from floor to waist packing and transporting equipment.
- The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
- Travel: Frequent travel is required with use of a company car for this position and requires a valid driver’s license.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT:
- Staff members are required to meet training expectations within the initial 90-day probationary period.

- 1 year(s): Optometry/Ophthalmology Experience
- Treatment of Meibomian Gland Dysfunction preferred
