Job Title: Design Release Engineer
Location: Auburn Hills, Michigan (Onsite from day One onwards)
What you’ll be doing:
The Design Release Engineer is responsible to lead the development of ECU/sensor design for the ADAS and Chassis features while working with suppliers and Engineering Support teams that include systems, wiring and validation engineers, Program Management, and Manufacturing teams as required to support and launch vehicle programs. Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with Tier 1 supplier to design, develop and integrate an ECU into multiple OEM vehicles
- Define and perform ECU validation for bench, system, and vehicle level
- Maintain EBOM and drawing releases for the different stages of vehicle milestones
- Perform Component and System FMEA
- Perform warranty data analysis on returned ECUs, identify issues and work with the supplier to implement corrective actions
- Create and manage engineering change requests to supplier(s)

Job Title: Virtual Test Engineer
Location: Auburn Hills, Michigan (Onsite from day One onwards)
What you’ll be doing:
The Virtual Test Engineer is responsible for delivering a stable and representative test environment to perform automated testing and functional integration of distributed features. This engineer should be capable of working with various Engineering Support teams including systems, wiring, design release engineers, and software teams as required to validate electrical features on the bench and resolve any electrical issues before it gets to production to support successful vehicle launch. Responsibilities include:
- Identify system boundaries and define requirements for simulator I/O, instrumentation, and automation solutions
- Define test scope and instrumentation strategies
- Collaborates with core engineers, suppliers, feature experts and test engineers to design, implement and troubleshoot instrumentation as required
- Review component level electrical schematics and functional specifications and translate the requirements into hardware and signal requirements for virtual implementation
- Validate and troubleshoots simulator and maintain test benches
- Troubleshoots vehicle systems and test environment functionality to minimize false positive incident reports
What you need for this position:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
Relevant automotive experience
Knowledge of CAN based communication and diagnostic tools
Proficiency in the understanding of embedded controller networks (CAN, LIN)
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with development and verification of plant and control models in Matlab/Simulink for execution in hardware in the loop test environments
Experience with dSpace hardware architecture, design, setup, and troubleshooting
Bench functional integration, test execution, measuring and instrumentation experience
Job Title: Functional Integrator
Location: Auburn Hills, Michigan (Onsite from day One onwards)
What you’ll be doing:
The Functional Integrator is responsible for leading the design and development of an automotive ECU in the following areas: Electrical Hardware, software, functional safety, ECU diagnostics and software/ electrical hardware degradation strategy to ensure successful vehicle launch.
Responsibilities include:
Designing of ADAS/Chassis features through hands on in-vehicle and laboratory development
Work with selected suppliers to make sure system meets all customer functional objectives
Interface with systems group to define vehicle level functional specifications
Develop and maintain system FMEAs and supporting functional Safety activities for features/ECU
What you need for this position:
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science
· Experience with component/module release
· Full understanding of automotive ECU development process
· CAN experience including tools like Vector CANAlyzer, CANOE, CANAPE, neoVI
· Outstanding communication and organization skills
Preferred Qualifications:
· Master of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
· Experience managing suppliers and/or engineers
· 3+ years of engineering experience (Electronic component or ECU development)
Job Title: SWAT Root Cause Engineer
Location: Auburn Hills, Michigan (Onsite from day One onwards)
What you’ll be doing:
The SWAT – Root Cause Engineer is responsible to lead electrical issue identification and resolution for all electrical features on a program line to ensure successful vehicle launch while working with various Engineering Support teams that include systems, wiring, design release and validation engineers, Program Management, and Manufacturing teams as required to support and launch vehicle programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Rapid troubleshooting / triage of vehicle electrical systems includingWiring issues
Electrical component issues
Assembly plant issues
Vehicle networking issues
Vehicle System issues
- Support of vehicle launches, durability fleets, and prototype vehicles
- Drive identified issues to closure
What you need for this position:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
- Knowledge of CAN based communication and tools
- Experience with multimeters and oscilloscopes
- Outstanding communication and organization skills
- Self-starter with ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of CAN-FD
- Knowledge of Ethernet protocol
