Summary

CHS Inc. is looking for an Electrician to join our team in Galveston!

Responsibilities

• 
  Keep production operating free of electrical problems.
• Perform removal and replacement of electrical equipment, systems and wiring including documentation of work performed and drawings of electrical system modifications.
• Ensure all Lock-out/Tag-out instructions are properly executed by ensuring that no short cuts are taken and that the equipment being locked-out is tested to confirm that no energy is available after Tag-out and prior to work commencing.
• Maintain required records and document preventive maintenance work.
• Perform the housekeeping duties in the Electrical Shop and work areas.
• Maintain and upkeep all shop tools.
• Report and document all injuries and hazards to Supervisor.
• Assist Millwrights with work assignments.
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

• 2+ years of experience in Production, Operations and/or Maintenance and/or Electrical Maintenance

Additional Qualifications

• 
  Demonstrated understanding of Terminal PLC and control systems
• Proficient in troubleshooting control and power circuits
• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of 2nd Class Electrician training preferred
• Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position.   Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, over water, and around moving automated machinery
