DETAILS

• $10,000 sign-on bonus with 2-year commitment

EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

• ED Volume: 27,000
• 27 private, monitored beds (21 are main, including two behavioral; six fast track)
• Trauma Level III
• EPIC EMR
• 18% Pediatrics
• 12% Admission rate (combined true hospital admits and observation admits)
• Hospitalists admit 98% of the admitted patients in the hospital
• Splinting done by ED physicians
• CT machine (128 slice) directly next to ED
• Plain Film Suite (read 24/7; physicians do not need to read)
• TPA given by ED physicians
• ED physicians have no floor responsibilities
• ED physicians do NOT do any bridge/holding orders
• Teaching opportunities: RN, NP and EMT Students rotate through the department
• RN to Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Tech to RN Ratio: 1:6
• No Radiology transport Technicians
• No Traveling RNs
• Splinting is done by ED Physician
• ED Patient Satisfaction trending upward - current is 80th percentile

• 12 Bed ICU Unit (intensivists in-house 24/7)
