Job Summary
The Employee Relations Team Lead is a key member of the HR Team and has shared accountability for the success of the function. The Team lead is charged with helping to optimize the HRBP model to elevate the employee work experience and align HR programs and services with organizational goals. The Team Lead is a strategic thought partner, advisor and subject matter expert on people and organizational matters, using that knowledge to partner with and guide senior executives, key stakeholders and other leaders in solving business problems. The Team Lead routinely collaborates with other functional teams (within and external to HR) and leaders at all levels of the organization to develop and execute solutions for business effectiveness. The Team Lead serves as backup to the Employee Relations Director and assists in guiding the work of junior staff.

The Team Lead routinely collaborates with other functional teams (within and external to HR) and leaders at all levels of the organization to develop and execute solutions for business effectiveness. The Team Lead serves as backup to the Employee Relations Director and assists in guiding the work of junior staff.
Essential Functions:
- Collaborates with senior executives, key stakeholders and other Leaders to develop and drive organizational strategies that solve business problems, improve team engagement, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. This may include but is not limited to business unit restructures, workforce planning, employee development and succession planning. (25%)
- Advises Leaders in best employee relations practices and strategies for managing problems and employee concerns. Identifies and evaluates issues, patterns, and trends to provide proactive insights for HR solution and program designs e.g., training to address certain needs.. (25%)
- Guides Leaders on employee performance management issues and concerns advises on Corrective Action/Accountability Based Performance process. Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Leads and conducts in-depth, objective employee relations investigations, analyzes information, develops fact-based conclusions, consults on final determinations, and accurately summarizes in written reports. Supports in assigning Values-Line cases and acting as thought partner to team in writing investigation case reports. (20%)
- Interprets and explain HR policies, procedures, laws, standards and regulations. Assists in leading various HR programs, such as employee recognition, engagement, exit and stay interviews. (15%)
- Develops and facilitates training programs on topics such as performance management, sexual harassment, discrimination, and problem resolution (15%)
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Business Psychology, Sociology, or Human Resources Management. Required
Work Experience:
- 5 years experience in Human Resources Required
Licenses:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to lead with a consultative approach and partner with senior leaders and executives on organizational strategies.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, which are necessary to support all levels of the employee relations program and interact successfully at all levels.
- Intermediate level of public speaking and facilitator skills to speak effectively and persuasively on matters of interest to employees and serves as facilitator on employee focus groups.
- Strong written communications skills to effectively appeal to all levels of staff regarding Human Resources Departmental, Legal and Organizational change and direction as well as to respond to levels of the State and Federal Government (CCRD, EEOC, DOL, DORA, etc.).
- Strong listening skills to conduct investigations of employees for disciplinary matters, write reports regarding investigations and make coaching, discipline, and termination recommendations.
- Intermediate Leadership skills to act as a Lead to Employee Relations staff as assigned.
