Part-Time Employment Coach/Employment Counselor/Area Director provides Work Adjustment Job Coaching, Supported Employment and Employment Enrichment services to consumers ages 16-65. The agency now has part-time openings in Stanly County (Albemarle), Union County (Monroe), Iredell County (Statesville) This position requires a self-starter with computer and time management skills, who can work a flexible schedule.

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Facilitate pre-employment services by conducting mock interviews, completing resumes, completing employment applications/assessments, employment exploration etc.
• Communicate and develop relationships with HR personnel, supervisors, managers, team leads etc. to develop employment opportunities for referred consumers.
• Support individuals with disabilities to obtain and maintain competitive employment.
• Provide job training and other employment supports to assist the consumer in acquiring the necessary job skills to successfully maintain employment.
• Monitor and evaluate consumer work performance by collecting skill acquisition and production data and obtaining feedback from consumer, employer and coworkers, providing additional training or intervention as needed.
• Provide on-going assessment and follow-along services as needed.
• Provide job site consultations and back-up support as needed.
• Manage time effectively and have availability to work various hours of the day and night; *Maintain required documentation on each consumer.
• Complete paperwork in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Area Director Preferred Requirements (Iredell County & Stanly County)

Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 4 years experience working with people with disabilities. Exceptional time management and ability to coordinate consumers schedule, documented supervisory experience, strong ability to develop relationships with potential employers and community stakeholders, must pass criminal background check and drug screen.

Employment Counselor Preferred Requirements (Stanly, Union and Iredell Co.)

A Bachelor's degree, a minimum of two years’ experience working with people with disabilities, good driving record, documentation of adequate insurance, must pass drug screen and background check.

Employment Coach Preferred Requirements(Stanly, Union and Iredell Co.)

A High School diploma and a minimum of one-year experience working with people with disabilities, a good driving record, documentation of adequate insurance, must pass drug screen and background check.
