Open recruitment announcement for fireline-qualified EMTs, AEMTs, and paramedics for the 2023 wildland fire season.

Start date: As early as April 21st.

Experience required: One season of wildland fire experience as a firefighter, or significant wildland fire EMS experience.

Schedule: On call. No guaranteed days or hours. When called, immediate deployment for 21 days not including 1-2 days of travel each way. Once hired, you will maintain your status as available or unavailable throughout the season. When listed as available, just be able to deploy within two hours of receiving a call between 0500-1900.

Where: Company is based in Missoula, MT. You may live anywhere in the US.

Pay:

• EMTF- $550/day
• AEMF- $625/day
• EMPF- $750/day
• Additional stipends are paid for certain advanced fire and EMS credentials.

Travel:

• Travel days are paid as normal full pay
• You are provided a vehicle to use
• When needed, hotels are provided- single occupancy
• Per diem stipend on travel days for food and incidentals at $100 per day
• Fuel is paid for

Fitness: Must pass the work capacity test (pack test). Additional daily stipend for enhanced PT standards which can be found on our website.

Employee is required to provide all PPE except fire shelter. As well, required to provide own camping and basic living essentials.

Employer provides all medical equipment, line pack, fire shelter, fire tool, vehicle if required, and any essentials for the incident.
