Job Summary and Qualifications

The Endoscopy Technician functions under the supervision of the unit Clinical Nurse Coordinator and performs tasks assisting surgeons and procedural physicians in the preparation and handling of instruments, scopes, supplies and equipment during interventional procedural cases. Is responsible for ensuring proper cleaning and high-level disinfection techniques on all equipment that comply with all regulatory standards. Observes all universal protocol requirements and endoscopy technician standards of care. Cares for patients from neonate to geriatric.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support
• High School Graduate / GED
• Experience in an acute care setting is preferred. Experience in an endoscopy center is preferred.
  
• Complies with hospital employee health, infection control, and safety management programs.
