Marsh is seeking candidates for our open Engagement Lead Consultant role in multiple locations across the US.

Marsh Consulting Solutions provides risk management consultation to global leaders in retail, healthcare, manufacturing, transportation, financial, and hospitality industries. Our consulting practice regularly engages with Fortune 500 companies to solve for the most complex of casualty claim issues.

What can you expect?

The Engagement Lead provides critical consulting solutions in the assessment of risk and claim programs. This position is often delegated the most complex risk and claim management assignments in the evaluation of the employer, third party administrator (or insurer claim administrator), and key business partners’ contributions toward program performance. The position is the most senior consultant engaged to evaluate current state programs and identify solutions and strategies to achieve optimized program performance. The senior engagement lead is responsible for all aspects of assigned projects including the development of a work plan, budget, project assignments, and final deliverables. The position is the most client facing in project delivery, often times interacting with senior leadership and C-Suite executives.

  • Leads project team members in the development of project work plan and key deliverables, and is responsible for all team members’ performance and final work product(s) delivered to clients.

  • Primary liaison to the assigned project and accountable for all aspects of project delivery and client interface.

  • Handles discussions with clients, provides subject matter expertise and delegates tasks in line with specific client requirements in order to successfully deliver contracted business solutions.

  • Collaborates with project team members and practice leadership to continually hone business solutions and improve overall project performance and team members’ efficiency and quality

  • Oversees all aspects of assigned project budget(s), ensuring services are delivered as expected and within the allocated budget. Manages escalated issues with poise and professionalism as well as provides clear communication with clients.

  • Manage a portfolio of projects, ensuring all aspects of delivery are maintained (scope, schedule, and budget).

  • Maintain ultimate responsibility for quality of all work deliverables assigned and collaborates with project team members to develop performance and mentor for the growth of less senior team members.

  • Challenge existing practices and drives innovative solutions in order to achieve quality, compliance and performance optimization within the consulting practice.

What you Need to Have

  • 10+ years of significant industry experience in risk and claims, possessing a background well rounded in claims, familiarity of marketplace, and knowledge of industry partners servicing casualty claims

  • Prior senior leadership role in claims or risk for an employer or claim administrator

  • Demonstrated project management expertise

  • BA/BS degree in related discipline

  • Technical claim background in workers’ compensation, GL/AL, EPL, or PD/BI claims

What will make you stand out:

  • Possess deductive reasoning skills and prior experience in the evaluation of challenging claim situations and environments, as well as the development of successful solutions to address

  • Experience in RMIS as an end-user in a claim environment

  • Capabilities in demonstrating complex concepts and outcomes visually via Excel or PowerPoint

  • Demonstrated experience in working with senior leaders and C-Suite executives

The applicable base salary range for this role is $84,700 to $180,800.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
