Community Engagement Coordinator - Sacramento, California
Compensation: $19 - $22 per hour

Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a Community Engagement Coordinator in the Sacramento, California area. The ideal Community Engagement Coordinator will be participating in community events and networking with local business owners.

About the Job

Work with a collaborative team of marketing specialists that ensure existing clients, and maximize their use of our solutions to grow their successful practices. By building rapport and engagement online through social media and in person by meeting our clients at trade shows, events, and office visits.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all aspects of community management across onsite and offsite efforts, including but not limited to networking, building relationships with clients, event research, and social media presence.
• Connect with existing clients and prospects to ensure all feel heard, understood, and connected to our mission.
• Assist the Marketing Manager in providing exceptional experiences for all existing and prospective clients.
• Recommend opportunities to generate goodwill and positive press within our community.
• Oversee social media platforms on behalf of multiple specialty brands and offer possible solutions to any issues that arise.
• Coordinate with the social media team to create posts, stories, and campaigns aligned with ongoing marketing, sales, and client retention initiatives.
• Support promotional initiatives for upcoming events, product launches, and product version releases.
• Assess social media community engagement performance and identify areas for improvement with monthly reports.
• Complete research and price comparisons for promotional materials and swag items.
• Stay informed on social media best practices and provided brand guidelines.
• Prioritize and operate in an organized manner.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of social media community management experience is required
• 1-2 years of experience in marketing, communications, outreach, retail, or related field is required
• High school diploma, AA, BA, or some college
• Positive attitude and professionalism
• Attention to detail
• Highly organized
• Interest in visual arts or aesthetics is preferred
• Volunteer experience is preferred
• Able to occasionally lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds
• Able to work in Sacramento, CA
• Willingness to travel: 20%
