$2,911.75 to $3,202.93 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera/Travels Countywide. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Performs professional engineering work planning, designing, reviewing, inspecting, and/or implementing assigned projects for the Public Works Department.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field OR Bachelor's degree in Engineering PLUS one (1) year of civil engineering experience. An Engineering Intern (EI) or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification issued by the Florida Board of Professional Engineers (FBPE) is preferred. [An Engineering Intern (EI)/Engineer in Training (EIT) is a person who has graduated from an Engineering curriculum approved by the Board of Professional Engineers and who has passed the Fundamentals of Engineering examination, as provided by the rules adopted by the Board]. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida Driver’s license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
