As the DevOps Architect, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of Enterprise DevOps strategies, processes and tools to optimize software development and delivery processes. You will work closely with development teams, project managers and business stakeholders to ensure continuous delivery and improve efficiency in the software development lifecycle. You will also play a key role in driving the adoption of DevOps culture across the organization. Furthermore, you will be leading the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines for all applications, including .NET web applications, .NET desktop applications and Java web applications. You will manage Jenkins permissions and users and will work closely with development, testing and operations teams to streamline the software delivery process. You will also be responsible for ensuring the security, reliability, and scalability of the CI/CD pipelines.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)

Lead the design and implement Global Enterprise DevOps infrastructure (40%)

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for software development and deployment
  • Implement and maintain automation tools and frameworks for testing, deployment, and monitoring
  • Develop and maintain configuration management policies and procedures


Collaborate with multi-development (40%)

  • Work closely with developers, system administrators, and other IT staff to ensure that DevOps processes are integrated with other IT processes
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure that software products are designed for automated deployment and testing
  • Guide and train developers on DevOps processes and tools
  • Participate in design and code reviews to ensure that DevOps requirements are being met
  • Manage Jenkins permissions and users, as well as design and implement Jenkins Pipeline for all applications, including .NET web, .NET desktop applications, and Java web applications.


Monitor and optimize DevOps infrastructure (15%)

  • Monitor and analyze system performance and usage metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement
  • Optimize system performance by fine-tuning configuration parameters and optimizing resource allocation
  • Identify and resolve system issues in a timely manner


Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices (5%)

  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and industry trends related to DevOps
  • Continuously evaluate and recommend new tools and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our DevOps infrastructure

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field required.
  • 5 years of experience in DevOps architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Experience managing Jenkins permissions and users, as well as designing and implementing Jenkins Pipeline for .NET web, .NET desktop applications, and Java web applications.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and release management.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Knowing Container technology, such as Docker or Kubernetes, is a good plus.
  • Good leadership skill.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

This job requires 10% domestic travel.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, exempt position is located in Pleasanton, CA and may be available for remote work. Posted pay range is based upon national average and may vary depending on geographical work location.

RELOCATION

Relocation assistance may be considered for this position.

Pay

$119200 - $160900 / year
