RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise the day-to-day housekeeping functions of assigned personnel.
• Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing service when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.
• Perform quality assurance (QA) requirements for department.
• Maintains proper workforce to ensure correct staffing levels to meet demands of the residents.
• Uses and ensures the use of correct personal protection equipment in accordance with the Blood Borne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan when handling soiled linens or performing other tasks in which exposure to blood borne pathogens may occur.
• Clean and stock Housekeeping carts, linen/storage rooms, and maintain in a presentable manner.
• Check for missing and/or damaged furniture, equipment, etc. and report to the Maintenance Director.
• Maintains inventory and supplies all closets.
• Report maintenance problems in resident rooms to the Maintenance Director.
